Book Day at The Boulders was an exciting and enriching event for youth volunteers, parents and the children they served. Summer of Service volunteers were invited to bring a favorite book to share with the children of Boulders residents. In addition to summarizing novels or reading picture books, youth had the opportunity to share insights with the listeners and teach certain principles and character-building lessons learned from the books. The purpose of this SOS activity was to reach out to children and help them appreciate books as tools for learning and personal growth.
